Abstract

A 5x5 wavelength cross-connect switch (WXC) with densely integrated MEMS mirrors is proposed and demonstrated. It has a 100GHz channel spacing compatible with the ITU-grid, a low loss (8-10dB) and a low PDL (~0.5dB).
