A fast spectral phase-only mask revision system for femtosecond pulse shaping with neural network

    Abstract

    We propose and numerically demonstrate a fast spectral phase-only mask revision system using a neural network without any iterative calculations. Initially, the neural network is taught with several training patterns. In the training, the input data for the neural network are various FROG traces, and the output data are proper phase-only masks designed by simulated annealing (SA) for generating a specific shaped pulse to each of the input FROG traces.
