In this issue of Blood, Thon and colleagues provide "a novel live-cell imaging assay" to assess megakaryocyte differentiation and proplatelet formation, and demonstrate that trastuzumab-DM1 (T-DM1), a new cancer drug combination, affects both megakaryopoiesis and thrombopoiesis.
