A physical and emotional distance calculation method for searching and recommending sightseeing spots in tour-semantic space

Abstract

The emotional aspect is an important factor for sightseeing spot selection in tourism. Physical distance is also an important factor for this selection. Our method selects sightseeing spots by combining physical and emotional distances. This paper proposes a physical and emotional distance calculation method for sightseeing spot selections. This paper also presents a method to measure emotional distance and the implementation of a prototype system. This system actually searches and recommends sightseeing spots around Tokyo station. This paper also discusses several experimental results to show the effectiveness and feasibility of our method.
