Abstract
A conventional prism sequence was proposed that allows a dramatic broadening of the negative dispersion region. Prism pairs serve as dispersers that perform the splitting of a laser beam into its constituent monochromatic components and reassemble the beam upon reflection. The results showed that the use of a gradient index (GRIN) plate in a prism compressor triple the spectral range of the negative dispersion.
