A searching image based knowledge memory system by using colors

Abstract

This paper presents a image search system for searching and recalling information by using colors of photo image. For example, I use the food images, the system computes the visual similarity of cuisines' photographs, which are taken using the cellular phone and the camera in a community. This system computes correlations between a cuisines' photograph and cooking pictures in the cooking image database, which includes the recipe information collected in the community, by using color peculiar to a specific cooking such as Chinese dish and Japanese dish. The feature of this system is "a color analysis filter" that extracts a specific set of colors effective in discerning the cuisines pictures.
