Abstract

Energy resolution, position dependence of pulse height, and electron/pion separation for energies from 1 to 16 GeV were measured for lead glass arrays of newer, denser materials with radiation lengths of about 1.5 cm. The energy resolution typically was measured to be σ/E = 1% + 4.5%/√E.
