Abstract

The effect of environmental investment varies according to the progress level of environmental conservation management. This situation is explained by a differential equation. The method based on the equation is examined to analyze the relationship between the cost of environmental conservation investment and its effect on the business area. The effect of environmental conservation activities is emission reduction. To evaluate more than one kind of emission, two integration methods are applied and compared. This study focuses on pollution prevention activities and verifies the investment model concerning the stage of environmental management related to the level of progress of environmental conservation activities. The analysis shows that, depending on the type of industry and the scale of the company, the investment model concerning the stage of environmental management explains its pollution prevention activity.
