Abstract

An optical phase-shift keying direct detection (PSK-DD) receiver with phase modulation to amplitude modulation conversion using a high-resolution arrayed-waveguide grating is proposed and demonstrated at 10 Gbit/s using an optical PSK-return-to-zero signal.
