Abstract

As an analogue of the classical uncertainty inequality on the Euclidean space, we shall obtain a generalization on the Sturm-Liouville hypergroups (R₊, *(A)). Especially, we shall obtain a condition on A under which the discrete part of the Plancherel formula vanishes.
