Abstract

This paper analyzes the corporate performance under environmental regulation. This research simulates the corporate activities to raise sale, consumer's purchasing behavior, and the government's environmental regulation management in market with two types of products that are eco-car and not-eco-car by using Agent-Based Modeling. Specifically, this paper focuses on the corporate performance during the simulation and the number of eco-cars at the end of simulation under direct regulation with penalties. As a result, it is found that (1) penalty has almost no influence on the number of eco-cars, and (2) penalty changes the top sale company, while if there is no penalty, top sale company does not change through the simulation.
