Abstract
In order to induce the efficient activation of T cells followed by anti- tumor immunity, we established B7+ tumor cells by transfection with B7-1 (CD80) gene into B16 BL6 melanoma cells (B7- cells) and investigated the effect of immunization with irradiated B7-transfected cells on experimental and spontaneous lung metastasis. Immunization of irradiated B7+ cells resulted in the remarkable reduction of lung tumor colonies as compared with B7- parental cells. Combination of vaccination with Lentinan/IL-2 led to the augmentation of anti metastatic effect.
