Abstract

The SuperSQL is further extended so that it could also generate O2C language source code as the result of a query in order to migrate data to O2, a commercial OODB of Ardent Software. As in case of database publishing, a user can specify various forms of target object structures in a declarative fashion, in order to obtain the best O-O schema for the intended application. The superimposing technique is developed to realize the important aspects of the migration like object sharing and recursive reference topology including bidirectional references.
