Broadband 2×2 multimode interference coupler for T- and O-band communication by wavefront matching method

Abstract

A silica-based 2×2 multimode interference coupler for broad wavelength band from 1.05 μm to 1.30 μm was designed using wavefront matching method. The loss and imbalance characteristics are effectively improved compared to the conventional design.
