N2 - Novel imidazole compounds, catharsitoxins A, B, C, D, E and F, were isolated from the Chinese remedy qiung laug. Their structures were determined by 2D NMR. To confirm their structures and to ensure an adequate supply for further biological studies, catharsitoxins A and D were synthesized.
