    Abstract

The synchronization of chaos in a master-slave system with two separate diode-pumped Nd:YVo4 microchip lasers is demonstrated. The synchronization of chaos was found to depend largely on the injection locking performance of the slave oscillator. The accuracy of synchronization was also found to be highly dependent on the number of longitudinal modes. The longitudinal mode power ratio between the two lasers should be matched for accurate synchronization.
