Comparative analysis of the people's character of Japanese prefectures based on SNS

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to show the people's character of Japanese prefectures based on Social Network Service. By using data that shows personalities based on participation of communities, we analyze communities participants' identities as the people's characters of each Japanese prefectures. Data is birthplace communities of Japanese prefectures. We analyze with following steps, data cleaning, network analysis and clustering with Self-Organizing Maps. With these analysis, we find various characters of Japanese prefectures and clarify its properties.
