Abstract

The physical structure and middleware for Smart Furniture are described. A Smart Furniture needs to federate heterogeneous devices and for that purpose it needs to identify the status of devices and the environment surrounding a user. The design of a middleware called Wapplet Framework and PPNP were discussed. A Personalized Public Message Board (PPMB) application which displayed commercial messages on to a Smart Furniture was also developed.
