Design of IIR eigenfilters

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new approach for least-squares design of IIR digital filters. In this algorithm, least squares solutions are obtained by solving eigenvalue problems iteratively. Moreover we apply a new modified Lawson's algorithm for IIR digital filters. Using this algorithm, better performances can be realized than conventional ones.
