Abstract

M channel filter banks, which have perfect reconstruction and linear phase properties, have been studied extensively and several design methods have been addressed in the past. However, almost all of these methods require the nonlinear programming technique which contains some problems such as computational complexity, initial value and so on. In this paper, we propose a new design method of linear phase paraunitary filter banks. In our proposed method, we use an efficient least-mean-square-based adaptive algorithm to optimize the parameter, which minimize the cost function, instead of using the nonlinear programming technique.
