Abstract

Electrorheological fluids E are functional fluids whose viscoelastic property varies according to the intensity of the applied electric field. The disadvantages of E are the sedimentation of E particles and the requirement of seal mechanism. n order to solve these problems, gel structured elecrorheological fluids E are developed in this study. The basic characteristics of E film is experimentally analy ed. ased on the results of basic analysis, the E was applied to the mechanical damper elements.
