Abstract

The [3H][D-Pen2,D-Pen5]enkephalin ([3H]DPDPE) binding was markedly inhibited by GTPγS in both membrane preparations from striatum and ileal myenteric plexus of guinea-pig. DPDPE stimulated low-K(m) GTPase and inhibited adenylate cyclase in the latter preparation, but did not affect the G-protein activities including GDP-GTP exchange in the former one.
