Abstract

Organosilicon compounds were directly synthesized from metallic silicon, alkene/alkyne and HCl, EtHSiCl 2 being obtained with 47% selectivity from Si, C 2 H 4 and HCl at 513 K, and CH 2 =CHSiHCl 2 and EtHSiCl 2 with 39 and 23% selectivity, respectively, when C 2 H 2 was used in place of C 2 H 4 .
