Abstract

Poly(dimethylsiloxane)-containing macro-azo-initiator was used in dispersion polymerization of methyl methacrylate. Stable microspheres were obtained when the solvents had solubility parameters in the range of 7.4-8.2. The microspheres were stabilized by a stabilizer formed in-situ, that is, polydimethylsiloxane-block-poly(methyl methacrylate). Copyright (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
