Effects of action improvement for the SU(N) twisted Eguchi-Kawai model

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Using mean field approximations, we discuss the effect of the improvement of the lattice action in the large-N SU(N) twisted Eguchi-Kawai model. Our result suggests that in the case of the improved action, the location of the first-order phase transition is shifted towards the strong coupling region, and we may possibly extract continuum quantities such as the deconfining temperature in the weak coupling regime, which was found to be difficult to obtain in the case of the standard action.
