Abstract

This study proposes a new configuration consisting of two pairs of exciting magnetic coils and a pair of signal pickup electrodes with the higher driving frequencies than those of conventional electro-magnetic flowmeters. This rather complex configuration brings the meters a function of auto calibration and lowers the condition of the fluid conductivity. The analysis agrees well with experimental results and it clarifies the feasibility of the proposed configuration.
