Abstract

The electronic structures of exohedral HonC60 clusters were reported. The results shown clearly indicated that C60 have the ability to accept more than twelve electrons. With photoelectron spectroscopy, the addition of Ho atoms can successfully reveal the electronic state of C60 above the HOMO by electron filling of the LUMO(s) with valence electrons of Ho atoms.
