Abstract

HEAT TRANSFER FROM AN INCLINED ISOTHERMAL FLAT PLATE IN BINARY (WATER-AIR) MIST FLOW HAS BEEN EXPERIMENTALLY STUDIED FOR A LOW WATER-AIR MASS FLOW RATIO WITHOUT A LIQUID FILM ON THE HEATING SURFACE. AT A CONSTANT WATER-AIR MASS FLOW RATIO,THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS INCREASE WITH AN INCREASE ININCIDENCE ANGLE AND UPSTREAM AIR VELOCITY AND WITH A DECREASE IN WALL TEMPERATURE. THE EFFECT OF INCIDENCE ANGLE IS A REMARKABLE AUGMENTATION OF HEAT TRANSFER NEAR THE LEADING PARTS OF THE PLATE.
