Abstract
Y2O3:Yb, Er nanophosphors were synthesized using a diffusion flame with vapor precursors and were investigated by TEM, XRD, and fluorescence spectroscopy. Nanophosphors of various sizes and crystalline structures were synthesized by changing precursor concentration, fuel/nitrogen dilution ratio, and gas pressure. The synthesized nanophosphors were highly crystallized and almost non-aggregated. Their sizes were in the range of 4–40 nm. Fluorescence measurements show that the photoluminescence intensity is not influenced by particle sizes but instead by crystalline structures.
