Fluctuation properties of third sound transmission in random media

Abstract

We have studied the fluctuation properties in the localization of third sound propagating in one-dimensional random lattices. The spectrum shows substantial suppression due to the weak localization effect. A large fluctuation is observed in the suppressed region. The properties of this fluctuation are analyzed in terms of the weak localization theory.
