Abstract

Very high-bandwidth (2GHz'km) GI POF in which minimum attenuation is 90dB/km (MMA-base) and 56dB/km at 688-nm wavelength (all deuterated MMA-based) was successfully obtained by the interfacial-gel polymerization technique. The advantage of large core (0.5-1.0mm) POF was demonstrated in the upgrade optical subscriber system.
