Abstract
Non-contacting laser light scanners are used for pre- and post-operative measurement of the body surface in the fields of plastic and reconstructive surgery. We review the articles in the literature and discuss the pros and cons of laser light scanner body surface imaging. We discuss the features of some models and report on clinical cases. In plastic surgery, laser light scanners are used in very many fields.
