Abstract
The JSCC Committee coordinates a laboratory network consisting of the primary reference measurement laboratory and Class I and II working reference measurement laboratories, in order to assures implementation of its standardization scheme set by the JSCC committee on Diabetes Mellitus Indices(DMI). The necessity to describe the implementation guide for application of KO500 method on working reference laboratories in HbA1c measurement stipulated by the JSCC/DMI has arisen because of the requirement to the reference measurement laboratories for HbA1c measurement. Execution of this guideline will prescribe the working reference measurement laboratories, assignment of target values for the proficiency testing and measurement as reference information from the user's requested specimens for analysis of routine measurement procedure. It is necessary to evaluate the specimen where adequate or not in pre-examination process and their performance in the working reference measurement laboratories.
