Abstract

Hierarchically structured composite of polypyrrole (PPy) and 1,4-naphthoquinone (NQ) was prepared by incorporation of the guest redox-active organic molecule NQ in the host redox-active conductive polymer PPy. The composite and its hierarchical structure induced enhanced electrochemical performances as a redox capacitor in an aqueous electrolyte.
