Abstract
A description is given of NEC's Computer and Communications Network Management System (C&C-NMS), which has been developed to perform integrated management for complicated large-scale networks consisting of modem subnetworks, PBX subnetworks, computer subnetworks, etc. The software structure and protocol are based on NEC's distributed information network architecture for extended environment (DINA-XE), which enables the C&C-NMS to be open-ended in meeting the requirements for use in a multivendor environment. An application example is presented for the C&C-NMS.
