Abstract

We report a novel laparoscopic surgical approach for complete rectal prolapse in children. Two children underwent a laparoscopic-assisted perineal resection of their redundant rectosigmoid and a laparoscopic rectopexy. Laparoscopy technique makes an abdominal incision unnecessary and appears to be reliable and feasible for the definitive treatment of this condition.
