Abstract
An ion-selective electrode based on ionomycin methyl ester, a derivative of the naturally occurring carboxylic polyether antibiotic ionomycin, is described which exhibits high Li +selectivity. The selectivity coefficients of the electrode based on ionomycin methyl ester, log KpotLiNa and log KpotLiK are-1.3 and-1.9, respectively.
