N2 - This demonstration shows a high data rate, non-contact connector using a transmission line coupler (TLC) composed of two differential transmission lines. The TLC is an impedance-matched and wide-bandwidth coupler, therefore it enables the high-speed baseband communication at 5Gbps/lane for USB3.1. Through a non-contact connector using the TLC, a 4K monitor is connected to a smartphone via the super speed wired signal lanes(SSTX/RX). The TLC connector can be used under harsh environment such as water, dust and misalignment. This demonstration provides visitors with opportunities to find utility of the TLC connector.
