Low-loss and low-crosstalk Si polarization splitters with twostep etching

    Abstract

    The waveguide-type three-line Si polarization splitter is designed and it has a polarization extinction ratio of more than 40dB and a loss of less than 0.4 dB for the wavelength range from 1.45μm to 1.65μm.
