Abstract

We propose significantly low-noise graded-index plastic optical fibers (GI POFs) for consumer-friendly pluggable 8K optical interfaces. It is confirmed that the GI POFs with the specified microscopic heterogeneities achieve highly-stable and high-speed data transmission in a consumer optical link without optical isolators.
