Magnetic trapping of CocoreCoOshell nanoparticles produced by gas phase reaction

Abstract

The magnetic trapping of gas phase CocoreCoOshell nanoparticles of ≈160 and 5-10 nm in diameter showed unique patterns of two-dimensional circular or oval distribution and one-dimensional aggregation, respectively, suggesting that granular nanowire can be formed when shell to core ratio is less than ≈0.38 at 0.5 T.
