Milliwatt coherent VUV radiation by all-solid-state tunable high-average-power laser system

Abstract

The high power narrow-bandwidth coherent light in the VUV region by two-photon resonant four-wave mixing in Xe was demonstrated. High power VUV radiation was generated by all-solid-state, narrow-band-width, high-average-power, tunable Ti:sapphire laser system. A 50-cm long gas cell was employed for VUV generation. The bandwidth as VUV was estimated to be 1.9 GHz.
