Abstract

We demonstrate the advantages of parabolic and W-shaped refractive index profiles formed in the cores of multi-channel polymer optical waveguides: Sufficiently low inter-channel crosstalk (≫-30dB) is achieved in these waveguides with small inter-channel pitch (≪80μm).
