Abstract

We present a crossing structure in polymer optical waveguides for high-density interconnects on printed circuit boards (PCBs). We have already proposed a fabrication technique for forming graded-index (GI) circular cores in polymer optical waveguides, named the Mosquito method. In this paper, 3D wiring of the core is focused to achieve crossing structures inside waveguides using the Mosquito method, in order to realize high-density on-board integration of polymer waveguides.
