Abstract

Linear and nonlinear properties of an organic crystal, 2-furyl methacrylic anhydride (FMA) were characterized. Experiments were carried out of collinear and noncollinear phase-matched second-harmonic generation (SHG) at 532.1 nm. SH4 was performed in the 450-nm region by temperature turned 90° phase matching. FMA has enough hardness for crystal polishing process and visible and near-IR region transparency.
