N2 - In this paper, a novel carrie-sense multiple-access (CSMA) scheme for UWB ad-hoc network Is proposed and evaluated. UWB Is a kind of spread spectrum communication and it is possible to detect the distance between the nodes. With this positioning capability of the UWB systems, DS-CDMA (DS-UWB) scheme with variable spreading factor is used. In this paper, a novel CSMA scheme that employs the correlation of the spreading code is proposed.
