Optical waveguide-transmission spectroscopy of one-dimensional excitons in T-shaped quantum wires

Abstract

One-dimensional (1D) excitonic absorption spectra of T-shaped quantum wires (T wires) with high uniformity were successfully obtained by the waveguide-emission measurements under point photo-excitation in a wide temperature range from 4 to 300 K. Temperature-dependent linewidth broadening of the 1D-exciton absorption peaks was clearly resolved.
