Abstract
We analyze the bit error rate (BER) performance of indoor infrared wireless systems using on-off keying (OOK) code division multiple access (CDMA) on diffuse channels by taking the effects of intersymbol interference (ISI) over several chips into account. We evaluate how much the transmitted power should be increased on diffuse channels to compensate the performance degradation due to the ISI.
