Abstract

We propose trellis-coded 16-state differentially encoded amplitude/phase shift keying (TC-16DAPSK) for differential detection and the effects of the Doppler frequency and the size of symbol interleaver on the BER performance of TC-16DAPSK on Rayleigh fading channel are considered by computer simulation. It is shown that the proposed TC-16DAPSK can improve the BER performance degraded by Rayleigh fading and that it is superior to uncoded 8DPSK on Reyleigh fading channel.
