    Abstract

The holographic optical information processings at wavelengths of 1.3 or 1.5 μm transmittable through quartz fibers are investigated. The photorefractive effects in a LiNbO3:Fe crystal at 1.37 μm wavelength with two-step recording is presented. In the two-step recording, light at visible frequency excites electrons to an intermediate state, then photons of recording excite them to the conduction band.
